 Meet Melissa Spurling 

Hi, I’m Melissa Rae Spurling, founder of MRS Financial. I’m a proud Cincinnati native, a mom to two amazing kids—Kimani and Mariah—a grandmother, and dog mom to Jax, our Shih Tzu who thinks he runs the house.

Becoming a young mom meant I had to work harder and smarter to create the future I wanted. Along the way, I earned three degrees—including dual bachelor’s degrees in Accounting and Business Administration from Wilmington College—and became a Certified Tax Preparer. Over the past 20 years, I’ve built a career rooted in numbers, organization, and strategy, not only as an accountant but also as a real estate investor.

Grounded in my faith, I’m dedicated to helping others achieve financial freedom by using my expertise to educate, guide, and empower. I know how overwhelming finances can feel, and I love making it simple—whether that’s taking bookkeeping off a business owner’s plate, guiding families through tax season, or helping someone rebuild their credit and confidence.

At MRS Financial, my goal is straightforward: to combine professionalism with a personal touch, giving every client the support they need to feel organized, empowered, and stress-free when it comes to their finances—fostering financial literacy and building a secure future for every client I serve.
